EUROPEANBAHN add-on - ►East Coast Express Part 2
East Coast Express Part 2
Logical continuation of the first part of this line which thus starts where stopped the preceding one, i.e. Peterborough, to join York, 110 miles further.
Option crafty one, if you are the happy owner of the 1st part, the installation of this part 2 will detect its presence and to form only one and single route, from London in York is approximately 180 miles, in the contrary case, you will be able normally to roll on this portion .
Honestly,, it would be damage to have only the second which constitutes more one good patch, therefore a complement with the London-Peterborough portion, which definitely richer and is varied .
Indeed, these 180 km are a long ribbon of greenery including only few stops, 4 in all, Grantham, Newark, Retford and Doncaster, between the two termini. One can on top roll to more than 200 km/h, under these conditions, the line is very realistic and generates little monotony, is necessary to acknowledge that it was a little the risk
Little additionalrolling stock with this continuation, one finds Class 43 HST or Class 91 Electric High Speed Trains (The InterCity 225) but also a beautiful train Virgin (Class 220 Voyager), Class 89 in delivered GNER (the old one!) and, cherry on the cake, a loco with vapor, Mallard, holder of a record speed on this line in 1938.
12 activities specific to part 2 make it possible to vary the pleasures, little traffic nevertheless, 3 additional activities cover the two parts of the route, which makes it possible to occupy a good moment all the same, the trains being shown very pleasant to control, the sounds add a key of well come realism.
The creation of own activities does not pose any problem, the paths being relatively coherent when there is more than two tracks, some make it possible to have priority, others, on the contrary, will oblige you to wait and the short cantons allow a strong traffic with an signalisation remarkably well done and visible by far.
Finaly, this second part adds small more, it is not really obligatory and could have been proposed like simple a patch even if it means to pay part 1 a little expensive
