The
Donner Pass Route - High Sierra Crossing

The Donner
Pass is the last production of 3DTRAINSTUFF, well-known for its roads like
Tehachapi Pass, Cajon Pass or The Cambrian Route for example. It unrolls
its 90 miles between Colfax and Truckee, in California, on a double not

The history
of this line starts in 1867 when it integrates first transcontinental American.
It is into 1901 that Southern Pacific becomes owner and dice 1920 about
it, the second way is carried out. The period represented here is with the
hinge of the Forties and Fifties, time when the first Diesel locos make
their appearance on a line where since the beginning the big locos with

cross these mountains in winter, with snow.
The line
thus crosses California of Is in West through the chains mountainous and
that climbs hard, in particular at the beginning of COLFAX. Work on the
decorations is completely remarkable, the relief is extremely well made
and very fascinating throughout the route. Many small scenes make the course
attractive, speed is never very fast but control often requires an attention
supported because of the variations of the relief.
The provided
rolling stock is abundant and of excellent quality with, of course, of very
beautiful locos vapor the such SP 2-8-0 Consolidations, SP Baldwin AC-10,
AC-11, and AC12 as well as the FP7s diesels. Present also of the coaches
of freight various and varied, short all that it is necessary to make a
success of the 18 activities provided exploiting this material as well as
possible in any season.
The route
is ordered on line on the site, at the price of $46.95, reception in the
8 days of two CD containing the line and the material, installation simple
and automatic.
