The history of East Lancashire Railway starts in 1846 when it connects MANCHESTER to Bolton line. Until 1972, when the section of Bury with Rawtenstall was closed, it was a very popular route. Fortunately, an association of safeguarding succeeds in reopening the line in 1991. |
